The Earth Golems are mindless bodies of rock and dirt, magically animated and fiercely protective of those who grant them life. I have never encountered one of these before, but I have heard many tales of them from my Gnomish friends. The Gnomes speak of them as a blessing from the Earth deities they worship. The Earth Golems protect the weak and powerless of Gnomish society, and have driven many threats away from the largely unprotected Gnome Village. However, it is my understanding that these creatures do not have the capacity to inflict harm upon others. They merely serve as giant shields for their masters, as they can not continue to retain life if they fail. If ever you encounter an Earth Golem, instead of focusing your attack on this living puppet, perhaps it would be best to look to the one who is pulling the strings.
